We had been working really hard to make one big display that everyone had a part in making. It looks super in the hall alongside all of the other displays made by classes in our school. We chose the Gruffalo because we decided that we LOVE Julia Donaldson.

Class 4 completed their Great Fire of London projects. The houses were made to look like houses seen in London at the time of the fire and we used orange paper to make the flames. The children worked really hard to make their houses and they looked superb lined up on the windowsills in our classroom.
Week beginning 6th February class 4 enjoyed National Story Week! They absolutely loved coming into school in their pyjamas and took full advantage of having so many new books in school. They made themselves comfortable and got lost in the stories they read.
Week beginning 23rd January. This week class four officially began Show and Tell. The two children who spoke about their chosen topic had clearly spent lots of time preparing and spoke enthusiastically about their trips to Lego Land and Florida. The children who listened had lots of questions for them at the end and are now very excited for when it is their turn. Thank you all for supporting your children with this activity.
Happy New Year! I have heard all about the wonderful things that class 4 pupils have been up to over the Christmas holiday and am so pleased to see how much they have grown up too. They have all come back keen to join in and learn new things. Thank you to those people who remembered cardboard boxes, we now have more than enough for everyone!

Luckily, Santa came to visit our classroom and as we always have so many questions for him, he helped us to practice asking questions that have questioning words in such as why, how, when and many more. He even made time to answer all of our questions too. Thank you Santa! Pictures to follow soon!

It is our first week back since the half term and we have been very busy. We have been thinking about how people can keep safe around fireworks and have painted our own firework paintings. The children tried to make patterns using dots and lines to make realistic pictures of fireworks. They practiced first and then went onto their final piece.
On the week beginning the 10th October class four focused their learning on a book called ‘The Shark With No Teeth’. They were very lucky because two characters from the book, Cruncher the shark and Snappy the crab, came to visit our classroom. We thought of as many questions as we could to help us to understand what was happening in the story and how the characters felt about it.
This week we have been practicing adding numbers to make number bonds to 5, 6 and 10. We used cubes and dominoes to help us with our counting.
On the 13th of September class four loved being part of Roald Dahl Day. They dressed up as some of their favourite characters from his books and we wrote about how we thought The Twits could themselves clean and healthy.
