Whootie Owl's world fairytales
Eight fairytales written by children and based on stories from around the world. The stories feature illustrations from pupils.

Star Primary School
Star Primary School, in Newham, London, have created a fun website with targeted word and matching games.

Candlelight stories
This site offers many stories from different cultural backgrounds. There are adaptations of stories children may already be familiar with and beautiful stand alone illustrations.

Stories from the Web
Promoting books, authors, poets, reading and creative writing to young people. The site is currently funded by subscriptions paid by 48 Library authorities across the UK.

Poetry Archive

MATHS

Rainforest Maths
A series of maths activities for all ages and abilities.

The Counting Story
Click on numbers one to eleven and count the animated pink bunnies. Useful for counting and recognising numbers in Nursery and KS1.

SCIENCE

Canterbury Environmental Education
A great resource for a mini beast or habitats study. Factual information about the animals in grassland, woodland and pond habitats. Select a habitat then click on photos or pictures of the animals to reveal data. The pond section has printable activities and identification keys.

Plant explorer
This fantastic site addresses the Science QCA Unit 1B, Growing plants. Children can click on the parts of a flower to discover their functions and click on pictures of food and drink to find out if they are made from plants. They can use their mouse to explore what plants need to grow.
